About Periodic Inspection Reports

Otherwise known as a PIR, a periodic inspection report tests the overall condition of wiring, installations and connections. This covers all electrics and ensures they meet the current outlined health and safety standards. If any faults or concerns are raised, then further investigations will be carried out.

Wiring is checked for connections, protection, and any deterioration that is present. Electrical inspections like this usually take 3 hours and are available for landlords as well. Whilst there is no legislation demanding that you check your electrics, it is important that you make sure these pose no risk to tenants.
